Teen Fitness Programs

Leveraging over 17 years of youth coaching, training and development experience; Coach John has developed the following Teen Fitness programs to meet the needs of youth between 12-19 and all fitness levels. 

PRIVATE 1:1 PERSONAL TRAINING

Take advantage of private one-on-one personal training out of the Nexus Performance Centre, with over 500 square feet of the facility including a turf zone. Full access to all the equipment including a full cable system, push/pull a sled, dumbbells, Olympic bars, heavy bag, speed bag, and even Bulgarian bags.

TEEN ATHLETE HIGH PERFORMANCE PROGRAM

The NEXUS Teen Athlete High Performance Program is designed for young athletes (12-19) to take them to the next level of their athletic journey. Athletes work one-on-one with a personal trainer who will design a customized fitness program with nutritional plans specifically focused on their needs and goals.

This program was created in an effort to address a systemic issue within organized youth sports, which is the lack of focus on individual development as an athlete. As a member of the Teen Athlete High Performance Development Program, athletes will receive the attention they require to address issues which may be holding them back from their full potential.

Athletes in the High Performance Development Program will receive:

  • One-on-one Personal Training
  • Fitness Assessment
  • Video Review
  • Nutritional Plan
  • Goal Setting
  • Monthly Progress Reports

SEMI-PRIVATE TRAINING PROGRAMS

INTRODUCTION TO FITNESS

6 WEEKS | 12 CLASSES

1 HOUR IN LENGTH

4 PARTICIPANTS

LOCATION: NEXUS PERFORMANCE CENTRE

Have a group of 4 youth looking to explore and learn how to properly move their body during exercise and while working out. The Introduction to Fitness is designed for youth between the ages of 12-18 and focuses on the 6 primal movements (squatting, bending, lunging, push, pull and twist). The participants will master 6 primal movements through body weight exercises, and be introduced to 3 key compound movements: squat, deadlift and bench press. At the of 6 weeks participant will successfully be able to: perform multiple bodyweight exercises including free weights, and proper form on the 3 key compound movements. 

SPORT SPECIFIC BOOTCAMP

Are you a parent or coach who has youth between the ages of 12-18 active in competitive sports needing help to pick up their game? The bootcamp is developed based on the specific sport the participants play with focus on: speed, strength and agility.
